SHRMG

Editorial standards

Updated 8 November 2026

These are the editorial rules for this website:

  • Organizational statements are published only by an administrator or an editor.
  • A researcher may draft and submit work for fact-checking. A researcher cannot publish.
  • Each item carries a date, an attribution and a category.
  • A statement is not the same category as a monitoring update.
  • The verification status is shown on the item.
  • A correction is dated and explained on the page it changes. The earlier text stays in the editorial history.
  • There is no public comment section.
  • A photograph is used only when SHRMG has a basis to publish it, with a description and a credit. A stock photograph is not presented as a picture of a real incident.
  • The language is specific. A documented finding is not written as a political slogan.

The workflow available to editors is draft, fact-checking, editorial review, approved and published. One administrator can move a piece through those stages, or publish it directly. The direct route is still a human decision, and it is recorded.
